REPORT FROM THE WATER CLINIC AT STOKE CHARITY 23rd JUNE 2018
Retriever and Spaniel members would like to give Peter an enormous thank you for holding a water training day at Stoke Charity. His time and patience was exemplary. The weather was exceptional, perfect for water training.
The Labrador s took the morning slot. They started with a simple retrieve on the water. Then a retrieve on to the island finishing with two retrieves one on the water the other on land. After a lunch break it was the turn of the Spaniels. Again they started with a simple water retrieve. Then a retrieve with shot on the island with a distraction on the way back. This was followed by shot fired dummy on the lake but a blind to be retrieved first. All dogs enjoyed the challenges and under Peters instruction every dog succeeded
Again many thanks to Peter for the day A huge thank you also to June for organising such a wonderful day and we all wish her a speedy recovery
Thank you to Katie Fraser for supplying these photographs of the day

Held every 2 years the Hannington Country Fair takes place on the village green to raise funds for village activities, members of Kintbury Gundog Club man a stand and carried out training displays during the day, Informing and entertaining the public.
Each year we have a stand at the Royal County of Berkshire Show held at the Newbury Show Ground. The club provides demonstrations over the two days of the show. It gives the general public an opportunity to see what is involved in training a gundog, members of the club who are part of the demonstration team regularly attend our training sessions. On the stands we have many items for sale and we are there to answer any questions and give guidance and provide useful information.
